Similar to the second Zombie Apocalypse film, the subtitle of this film is said right before the opening credits. In addition, the original subtitle of this film, "A New Life" is also said at the very end of this film.

David Breaze wore brown hair dye throughout the first two films in the saga but stopped in 2020. Due to the inconsistency of his hair between films, this had to be written into the script and was not planned.
David jokingly says "Why do we always end up driving a flatbed truck everywhere we go?" in reference to them using a flatbed truck the previous two films to carry people.

One idea was that there were too many characters and that they were killed off to keep the film from being too crowded. Another was that they wanted to focus on their real governmental jobs. However, writer Zach Brickens responded by saying, "Taking over the writing from Jack Headston [who wrote the first two in the saga] was hard, and if I'm completely honest, I forgot their characters existed. Though I do agree that there would be far too many characters and that they aren't important to the story in any way."
